Vertical long axis pump coupling how to alignment?

Therefore, the alignment of pump couplings is one of the most important links in the installation and maintenance process.
The alignment of the coupler is an offset analysis
In the installation of new vertical long shaft pump, does not check for perpendicularity between the coupling section and the axis, but the installation of the old pump, must be carefully examined and found not to adjust the vertical and vertical alignment. Generally, there may be four situations that may be encountered.
1) S1=S2, a1=a2 in the end is in the correct position of both parallel and concentric, then two axis must be located in a straight line.
2) S1=S2, A1 and A2 in the end but parallel axes are not concentric, then the radial displacement between the two axis parallel e= (a2-a1) /2.
3) S1 and S2, a1=a2 in the end although concentric but not parallel with angular displacement between the axis of alpha two.
4) S1 = S2, A1 = A2 in the end is not concentric and parallel two axis between both the radial displacement and angular displacement of alpha E.
The first condition of the coupling is that we are looking for the right state to be reached, and the second, third, fourth states are not correct. We need to make adjustments to achieve the first case.

Measuring adjustment method for alignment
The following are mainly introduced in the maintenance process commonly used two measurement adjustment method, according to different measuring tools can be divided into:
1) the use of knife shaped ruler and feeler coupling misalignment and using rough wedge gap rail or feeler coupling end of this method is suitable for the flexible connection of low speed and high precision equipment.
2) the use of dial indicator and table frame or a special tool to measure the coupling of the two is not concentric and parallel, this method is suitable for high speed, rigid connection and accuracy requirements of high rotating equipment.
Be careful:
1) in a feeler and knife foot alignment, surface coupling on the radial face should be flat and smooth, no rust, no burr.
2) in order to see the light of the cutter's ruler, it is better to use a flashlight.
3) for the final measurement, the anchor bolt of the motor shall be completely fastened and free of looseness.
4) with a special tool for timing, make the same mark, in order to avoid measurement errors increase, and should be divided into the 4-8, in order to get accurate data.
